The Senior Product Manager will play a key role in this and help to identify these opportunities, to quantify the customer and commercial impact, and to engage with customers to cocreate, validate and sell-in products and concepts. Hereby the Senior Product Manager helps direct Sonion’s resources toward the most attractive options.

The Senior Product Manager is critical for the commercial success of Sonion’s Innovation. The role is responsible for making customer, market and technical assessments of product opportunities, in close cooperation with Sonion R&D, Sales and external partners. The Senior Product Manager plays a key role in the early sales-in of product ideas and concepts, and for engaging peers at our customers, to ensure we focus efforts on the most relevant opportunities. The Senior Product Manager will also analyse market intelligence and translate this into product ideas that are commercially relevant for Sonion. The Senior Product Manager is part of Sonion’s Product Management & Strategy team, reporting to the VP Product Management & Strategy, and will be based in our headquarter in Roskilde, Denmark.

 

Your tasks and responsibilities will include

Product Value Propositions

  • Develop the Value Proposition of new products, incl. key features, value drivers and target requirements of a Minimum Viable Product;
  • Create a Features-Advantages-Benefits view of the product, to detail target requirements and commercially support new products, and drive development with R&D and Sales.

Product Introduction, engagement & sales-in to customers

  • Present and discuss new products, concepts and ideas and value propositions with customers;
  • Build relationships to peers at our customers, e.g. Product Management;
  • Work together with external partners to define Reference Designs.

 Innovation Funnel and Product Roadmap

  • Conduct commercial and technical assessments of new product opportunities;
  • Create and propose new product ideas and business plans for Sonion’s innovation funnel and product roadmaps.

 Ideation and Market Insights:

  • Collect and analyze market intelligence related to trends, customer- and end-user value;
  • Facilitate product and/or technology idea generation, with customers or internally;
  • Assess the commercial value of new technology with R&D to identify opportunities for Sonion;
  • Understand and evaluate customer roadmaps in terms of opportunities and product requirements.

 

Your profile

You enjoy understanding customer and end-user problems and needs, and translating these into clear product value propositions that create value for the end-user, our customers and for Sonion. You find having in-depth discussions with customers or engineering teams and finding solutions to market problems inspiring.

  • You have a Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Audiology or similar;

Furthermore, you have experience in:

  • Product Management and/or creating Value Propositions;
  • Working on design-ins and projects with external customers;
  • Excellent understanding of commercial and technical success criteria for products and solutions;
  • Working with product and/or technical aspects of the hearing instrument market or similar markets;
  • Knowledge of microphones, speakers and/or sensors is a plus;
  • Good presentation and communication skills in both verbal and written English.

As our customers are located worldwide, you should be available for limited traveling.

Equally important to your knowledge and experience are you as a person. We are looking for a person, who is proactive, eager to learn, hands-on and result driven. You can also interact effectively with people from all backgrounds. Being to the point and making decisions is second nature to you.
