How is it like to work at Sonion? Meet some of our employees below.

Almira Gapit, Shift Leader

“I was hired as one of the first operators at Sonion Philippines, which gave me the opportunity to be trained at our facility in Sonion Vietnam. The career path I have experienced here is on par with what I wished for; I have now advanced to the position of Shift Leader.

There are so many great things about working at Sonion. I value the working relations I have with Sonion colleagues; the local management and most especially our Local Managing Director. Sonion invests in people by providing a great work environment, training and the opportunity to change career paths within the company. Also, the flexibility at Sonion is so refreshing. Due to our culture and guiding values, we all work together towards known, measurable and common goals.”

Wojciech Kwiatkowski, Automation Engineer
“I started working at Sonion as an apprentice in 2009 after the production lines were transferred from Sonion Poland to Sonion Vietnam. After graduating from Secondary Technical School, I was invited to work in the System Engineering Department at Sonion as an Assembly Technician. Here I was mostly responsible for the electrical part of machine assemblies. I continued my education in Robotic Automation at a local university, while working part-time at Sonion.

In 2013, I was promoted to work as an Automation Engineer. Since then I have been responsible for the electrical design of our production machines. Meanwhile, I graduated in Robotic Automation and started full-time work at Sonion. During my employment, I have introduced completely new solutions to our designs and faced many interesting challenges – starting from designing and programming on a daily basis through remote machine upgrades, to developing new industrial technologies for our products. I highly appreciate the nice work atmosphere I have found at Sonion as well as the flexibility to combine work with my continued education.”

Benjamin Mimoun, Head of Microphone Development
“I joined Sonion in 2013 as a Product Development Engineer. I have a PhD in MEMS technology and I was hired when Sonion decided to develop MEMS microphones for the hearing aid market.
There is a great working atmosphere with a very international and open minded staff. Sonion holds an amazing amount of knowledge and experience and in a few years I have learned more than I could have ever imagined. I have also been able to bring my own piece to the Sonion puzzle and helped with the release of great products.

Since January 2017 I have been leading the microphone development department. I find my work very rewarding in the sense that the products we develop contribute to improve the quality of life of many people. I like to remind myself of this when I face challenges in my daily work.
In short, great colleagues, great challenges and great skills lead to a lot of fun and high quality products.”
