Certifications - A Crucial Factor

Quality - ISO 9001
A high level of product and process quality is extremely important to our customers. Consequently, quality is a crucial factor in all aspects of our business. We create high performance components in miniature size and we manufacture them in high volumes.

In the development process, the production process and in the sales process we go through several quality assessments, targeting the highest standard of quality and reliability to the benefit of our customers.

Health and Safety - OHSAS 18001
At Sonion, we recognize our employees as our most valuable resource. Part of our project People, Planet & Profit therefore is to securing, developing and maintaining a healthy and safe work environment in which our employees feel comfortable, absence due to sickness is at a minimum and accidents are virtually nonexistent.

The OHSAS standard is a supplement to local law and regulations and is compatible with the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.

Environment - ISO 14001
Another goal in our project People, Planet & Project at Sonion is to have all our sites certified according to the ISO 14001 standard. Caring about our employees is important. However, running a sustainable business is just as essential.

Healthcare - ISO 13485
Sonion has a number of intensive development projects within medical device components and is planning to start up volume production of medical device components in 2008. It was therefore a very important milestone for Sonion to be certified according to the ISO 13485 standard in 2007.

*) Sonion Polska passed the recertification of ISO 9001 by DNV on March 3-4, 2008. The new certificate is expected to be issued in May 2008.
