ASICAn ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) is an integrated circuit (IC) customized for a particular use, rather than intended for general-purpose use. For example, a chip designed solely to run a cell phone is an ASIC.

Hearing instrument An instrument that helps hearing-impaired communicate better. Hearing instruments are made to be worn behind the ear or in the ear. In-the-ear hearing instruments fill most of the ear opening or are almost completely invisible.
