Our customers count some of the World’s leading manufacturers in each of their areas of business: Hearing Instruments, Mobile Handsets, Headsets, Earphones and Medical Devices. 

From our R&D Centers in Denmark, the Netherlands, Poland and China, w e strive to provide cutting edge components and solutions, which are produced at our factories in Poland, China and Vietnam.

Sonion was the result of a merger between Microtronic A/S and Kirk Acoustics A/S in 2000. With increased focus on innovation, cost efficiency and customer demands Sonion has attained a position as global market leader in each of its niche markets.

From 2000, the company was owned by Nordic Capital (47%), Polaris (31%), Intermediate Capital Group PLC (17%), Erhvervsinvest Nord (3%) and Management (2%).

On February 28, 2008, Sonion was acquired by Technitrol, Inc. (NYSE:TNL).

Sonion is headquartered in Roskilde, Denmark.
