Sonion’s PSpice models represent the electrical equivalents to the acoustic properties of microphones and receivers.
Using PSpice models allows for simulation of the acoustic behavior of the hearing instrument in the design phase. This reduces the design time and number of trial-and-error iterations necessary.
The PSpice models have been available upon request, but Sonion has now decided to make these models readily available. See for example our 3700 Receivers. The decision also includes a commitment to make the PSpice models available simultaneously to the release of new products as part of a release package.
“Innovation is more than great new products. It is also to provide tools in a new way that makes life easier for design engineers,” stated Morten Wagner, Product Manager at Sonion. “Since 2004, Sonion has provided 3D models of both electromechanical components and transducers. We hope this new initiative will be well received and used,” Morten Wagner continued.
